Dear Parents and Community Members,

Confirmation Prayer for our students

Each moment of your life,
may you feel the Lord’s embrace.
May you sense his guiding presence
in each challenge that you face.
May His peace and light be with you
and may you realise how deeply
loved and precious you are
within His eyes.

Congratulations to our ‘newly Confirmed’ students: Stella, Yulana, Drew, Cody, Elena, Cara, Sofia, Katherine, Jasmine, Sebastion, Cameron, Lachlan, Pia, Louella, Raya, Siobhan, Devon and Jacob.  Unfortunately Toby was unwell and unable to be at either Mass over the weekend.  We pray that God will continue to guide and bless you in your lives, as you take this important step in your faith journey.  See photos in gallery.

Last Thursday was a Holy Day of Obligation to recognise the Assumption of Mary into Heaven.  Students from Years 4 to 6 attended Mass with parishioners.

Science Day

On Friday 9 August, activities to celebrate the Science learning area were held for all classes.  It was a fantastic day as we participated in an array of Science based activities including Waste Wise activities, making rockets, surface tension, magnets, pinwheels, colour wheels, oil spills, making ‘grabbers’, hovercrafts, engineering, hands-on exploration activities and lots of other wondering and discovery. Thanks to all our helpers from Waste Wise; Mrs McKenzie, Mrs Mutyara, Logan and Ian from BCC; and our trusty parent helpers who come along every year (Vicki and Gemma). Thanks to all the teachers, especially Mrs Heelan for her organisation of a day filled with exciting learning opportunities.  See photos in the gallery.

On Thursday we have our Book Week Assembly.  This year, the theme is ‘Reading is my Superpower.’  We look forward to seeing the creativity of our students displayed in their choice of book character costumes.  There will be a costume parade at Assembly on Thursday morning, all are welcome to attend.

Quiz Night Thanks

A HUGE thank you to all our supporters for our Centenary Celebration Fundraiser Quiz Night last week. It was a fantastic night and we couldn’t have hoped for a better turn-out. Special thanks to the ‘Bar Boys’ (Bernard, Mark and Matthew), our P&F, our staff, parent helpers and all who donated prizes or sponsored tables. Thanks to all the parents and community members who donated items to make up quiz prizes and raffle prizes. Thanks to everyone who came along and had a great time. Congratulations Luke Vine for the work you did to put together the quiz.

Please support our sponsors (see attached list) as we really appreciate their contribution.

If you would like to purchase girls shorts to wear as part of the summer uniform, please place an order no later than Friday 30 August.  We will be placing a bulk order to be ready for Term 4.  Please note that these items are not kept in stock and must be ordered.  There are samples in the uniform shop to try on for sizing, if needed.

We have a blackboard that has been removed from a classroom and is now in the undercover area, if anyone would like it.  It measures 3.6m x 1.23m.
